This Star Wars Ghibli Artwork Present Was a Hidden Gem of Celebration Japan

“Japan has all the time influenced my creativity. I grew up loving Tokusatsu, and was captivated by anime collection like Macross,” Filoni wrote in a message accompanying his personal artwork piece within the assortment, “Ahsokanoke”, depicting Ahsoka and Grogu in a Ghibli-esque type.

“After I noticed Miyazaki’s movie Princess Mononoke, it modified the best way I thought of animation. I beloved every part about that movie and it made an enduring impression on me. After I went to create Ahsoka Tano, I knew I wished to imbue her with a little bit of San. So for this reason Ahsoka has two ‘wolf fangs’ on her cheeks, in homage to Miyazaki’s movie.”
